JULIET SIKORA | FIVE FOR THE FLOOR

OFF SONAR – a collection of parties happening in and around Barcelona during SONAR festival – has grown to become almost as big as the main event. Rooftops, basement clubs and everywhere in between are filled with the sound of immaculate kicks and basslines for almost seven whole days, kissed by the Spanish sun.

CTC have teamed up as media partner with The Hidden People to bring you all the news, tips and recaps for THREE killer OFF WEEK parties with three amazing labels, each bringing their own unique sound and impressive roster. To celebrate we’ve asked some of the artists who’ll be serenading the SONAR sun to give us their top five floor-filling picks.

Kicking off with Kittball regular Juliet Sikora, whose latest release ‘A Tribute To The House Divas’ is set to be a summer anthem, already climbing the Beatport charts. Hear it below with her top five tracks on rotation.

Re-Tide ‘The Big Question’

“I love disco-inflected house, and this one is on point. I dig it – it´s a dancefloor weapon.”

Dantiez Saunderson ‘Red Room’

“It just goes off every time I play it. Killin’ groove but still has a classy element of soul to it. A perfect club banger.”

Frederique & Rob Me ‘Down’ (Original Mix)

“This is a track I like to start my sets in the past weeks, really like this one, and can’t stop playing it. When the kick jumps it after the long intro part; it´s always a hand up moment.”

Kenny Brian ‘Travesias’

“Falling in Love with this tune straight away, I don´t think a lot of people know this track, but it´s a classy groover with a fantastic Spanish vocal!”

Juliet Sikora & King Brain ‘A Tribute To The House Divas’ (Original Mix)

“My last choice is my new release together with King Brain and vocals from Anita Davis. It’s a lovely summer feeling in a classy house style with a message: We need more big vocals back in the game. Don´t forget the big diva voices from back in the day. It´s an homage from the bottom of my heart.”
